The Sorting Hat

The Sorting Hat says I belong to Ravenclaw.
Said Ravenclaw, "We'll teach those whose intelligence is surest."
Ravenclaw students tend to be clever, witty, intelligent, and knowledgeable. Notable residents include Cho Chang and Padma Patil (objects of Harry and Ron's affections), and Luna Lovegood (daughter of The Quibbler magazine's editor).
I found this site on another blog. Thanks kboggess, it was fun. So, everyone, what House do you belong to??

Happy 24th

It just seems like yesterday that Cassie was born, June 23, 1982, 9:14 am. What a beautiful, blue-eyed charmer, then and now. I am forever grateful that you are my daughter.
Happy Birthday!!!

Checking My Lists

It's fun reading Julie's and her friends' list so I'm going to add my own. I added a new category also. And, like Julie, I would really like to see my other friends' and family lists.

Things I Want to Do Before I Die:
1. Visit all 50 states
2. Go to Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Peru
3. Read all 120 books currently all my reading list
4. Write my life history (just before I die so it will be complete. The last line: She passed in a blaze of glory surrounded by millions who loved and adored her.)
5. Have grandchildren
6. Retire
7. Learn to play the piano
Things I Cannot Do: (Why was this list so easy to comile?)
1. Play the piano
2. Consume nothing but fruit juice for more than "3 hours."
3. Understand rap music
4. Speak a foreign language
5. Knit
6. Lift 50 pounds. Well maybe I could in a pinch, but I warn you, I pinch back.
7. Watch professional wrestlers
Things I have Done That I'm Quite Proud Of:
1. Raised two children to be outstanding adults
2. Taught my son enough that he was able to find a beautiful, fun, talented girl to take to the temple. (He may have some responsibility, but I'm still taking full credit)
3. Graduated Summa Cum Laud from USU at the age of 35 while divorced and raising two children. Wow, that sounds kind of hard. I don't remember.
4. Received my temple endowments. (This was really hard. I'm not good at changing)
5. Worked at the bank for 20 consecutive years. Now I'm the branch manager. I'm not so much proud of this as I am stressed.
6. Mowed my lawn for the first time in 4 years. I may not have the lawnboys back, it felt so good. Thanks to Kevin for helping load the mower in my car. It's great to have him in Vernal for a time.
7. Start my very own blog!
Things that will Attract my to my Future Spouse:
1. His celestial glory (I know we will meet beyond the veil when my body is perfected. He wouldn't want me now. Of course, if he is celestial material . . . hmmm)

4. Sincerity
5. A matching sense of humor

3. Thank you for calling ________ _________ Bank, this is Shaneen.
4. Like that's going to happen
5. Someday . . . .
6. Dang
7. I forgot
Movies I Could Watch Over & Over:
1. Apollo 13
2. Meet Me in St. Louis
3. Sweet Home Alabama
4. While You Were Sleeping
5. The Harry Potter Series
6. Signs
7. Remember the Titans
Books I'm Currently Reading or on my reading Queu:
1. Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner. It's been over two weeks and I'm not finished. Have I lost my mojo? What is a mojo? I hope I'm not using it out of context.
2. See my reading list. I have no idea what comes next.
Things I'm Afraid Of:
1. Getting old and broken down (I'm so close)
2. Heights
3. Incompetence . . . or incontinence, both are equally scary.
4. Losing my kids
5. Losing my mom
6. Losing my mind
7. Losing my way, both figuratively and literally.
Well, this was sort of cathartic. I highly recommend spending some time on your own lists.
